|Based in the beautiful town of Inveraray, I am fortunate to be one of the few qualified and experienced professional Scottish tour driver guides in the country.
I am a member of the Scottish Tourist Guides Association (STGA - Blue Badge Guides) and I served on the Board for several years.
After many years tour managing and guiding in Europe I qualified as a Blue Badge Guide in 1995. I now specialise in driver guiding and itinerary planning and I have a genuine love of Scotland, my native land. I am fluent in both English and Spanish languages.
I have access to a wide range of different vehicles depending on clients' requirements and I can carry up to 8 passengers maximum in other vehicles. However, I usually use my own top of the range Ford S-Max, which is fully air conditioned and will ensure you have a comfortable and enjoyable trip. The car accommodates up to six passengers in comfort for day tours with the roofbox offering excellent additional storage. Larger vehicles are recommended for longer trips.
I still travel extensively and have many years of experience driving on Highland roads so you can be sure of a safe and comfortable tour in my care.
I understand that clients need to be sure of the quality of the service I provide, and have therefore qualified as a member of a number of professional organisations.
These include the Scottish Tourist Guides Association, The Driver-Guides Association and The Guild of Registered Tourist Guides
All these organisations expect a very high standard of professionalism from their members and this is reflected in the service I provide. They also provide me with professional indemnity insurance.
I am also a qualified first aider, having obtained the First Aid at Work certificate. You can therefore be sure of being in safe hands!
I have always had a great love of Scottish Music. I play the fiddle and regularly attend workshops and Feis (Scottish traditional music gatherings) and have many connections in the Scottish traditional music industry. If you have an interest in traditional Scottish Music, I will be pleased to advise or escort you to various local events.
I am a member of the Lochgoilhead Fiddle Workshop and would be delighted to accompany you to any of their local concerts.
Although much of my time is spent driving, I still retain a passion for hill walking and sailing and take advantage of my natural location whenever time permits.
Over the years I have built up a strong knowledge of areas of Spain, as well as making many friends there whom I regularly visit. I speak fluent Spanish and like to keep in touch with Spanish and South American culture and events.
